I can't believe Week 4 of classes is almost over. I feel like I'm still getting used to my new schedule even though it's been nearly a month. Having to regularly rely on public transportation is kind of a drag, but I am now quite knowledgeable about the bus! In fact, do I dare say I like the bus better than the subway?
I want to keep up this blog until I graduate, but it's becoming harder and harder to find the time to update with my crazy schedule (school four days, intern three days and work two days). I barely have the time to finish my readings, forget about watching tv or social media! I've been trying to stay up later, but then I move sooo slow in the mornings and get drowsy during class. not good.
We've also had the craziest weather!! One day there's a blizzard (like during fashion week!) the next it's 55 degrees and sunny. There's another winter storm "Q" that is supposed to hit the east coast tomorrow and friday.
This season, I was so, so luck to attend three shows, only one of which I had to work. And I even had seats for the other two!! I have been quite diligent about pinning my favorite looks from nyfw and now lfw and mfw to my runway board. I think the biggest trend so far has been the major fur.
As always, follow me on twitterinstagramtumblr and pinterest for more timely updates!

Leftover fashion week

I swear these are the last fashion week images (that I totally meant to post weeks ago!)! My favorite collections from Paris are Dries van Noten, Chloe and YSL. I love the way plaids, florals, ruffles and lots of chiffon were mixed together at Dries. I've never been a huge fan of plaid (too prep school. too grunge. no middle ground) but in a new fabric (aka not flannel) I'm rethinking plaid! The other standout for me was Heidi Slimane's first YSL collection. I really, really liked the silhouettes (super skinny pants, the tallest heels, lots of blouses and those wide brimmed hats!), as this is how I'd like to dress one day.

#NYFW

This season I got to go to two shows!! One, for my current internship, and the second for my summer internship. The two shows were really different in size, location and crowd, so it was nice to experience the two. I had so much fun at both! It's truly amazing how much time and preparation goes into a 10-15 minute show. Here are some pics from my favorite shows, plus behind the scenes pics from Derek Lam and Anna Sui. Enjoy! Summer Reflections

Ahh Labor Day. For me, today is my one day to relax before school and my new internship (!!) and fashion week start. yikes.
I was so sad last week to leave my internship. I couldn't believe how fast the three months went. I learned so much about the fashion industry this summer, but also how to work with people so that you can please everyone (or at least attempt to). Not everything will get photographed, but it's so exciting when they do. Like this Marc Jacobs clutch that was featured in WWD!!
I will never forget this summer, and I hope to work with some of those publicists again in the future! Especially my publicist Elgene.  A huge part of the reason why I loved this internship was because I had such an amazing supervisor.
The goodies I got for Elgene and Marisa.

Today is spent relaxing, sleeping in (!!), getting ready for classes (and senior year!) and getting dinner with my roommates to celebrate. I'm so excited to see what this year will bring.

my week in fashion.

This week was super busy and exciting for me! It was also the first full week of class, which was a tad tiring.
Tuesday I caught up with my good friend Johnny. We had bagels and iced tea in Washington Sq Park. And we sat near a man playing the piano! I miss sitting in the wsp and people watching.

Wednesday was Anna's fashion show, which I got to attend! and I snagged a seat shortly before the show started!! I had no idea what to wear, so I kind of threw together a lot of trends (denim shirt, tulle skirt, sky high heels and sparkly bow tie) and ended up with this. But I got lots of compliments on my bow tie!!

Bright and early the next day, I went to work and promptly unpacked the clothes from the show. It's amazing how much detail is in the clothes once you see them up close!

All day Friday and Saturday, I assisted with appointments in the showroom. It sounds easy enough (all I did was hand the clothes to my boss), but I had to do it for 11 hours straight for two days, with only a 10-20 minute break for lunch. I was so tired by the second day.
