busy busy busy.

Today was my last day of classes, meaning, my freshman year at NYU is almost over. I can't believe the year is over—where did the second semester go?! whew. I'm terribly, terribly busy with end of year stuff including, but not limited to: EXAMS, FINAL PAPERS and MOVING OUT. Meaning, the updates will be far and few for the next week until sweet freedom (Monday, 9:51am)!!
Tonight is my last night of doing nothing for the next week and I'm loving every minute of it. It started with getting out of ACE early. Stephen desperately needed summer clothes (80 degrees, 70% humidity) and I wanted to get the Le Sac dress from American Apparel. I got the dress in pomegranate and I spent part of the afternoon playing with it—you can truly wear the dress in SO many different ways!! My favorite is a variation of the one shoulder Grecian style. I can't wait to wear it! In fact, I might wear it tomorrow....

ps. random new music obsessions of today: Across the Universe soundtrack and "Pursuit of Happyness" by Kid Cudi. weird, I'm aware.

cloest space.

Last night I decided to pack away all of my winter clothes. The results yielded SIX ENTIRE INCHES of closet space! My clothes can breathe! (totally wish I had done a before to go with this after)

Winter blues.

I haven't been feeling well the past week or so, but it's nothing major, just a touch of congestion, no sore throat or cough (thankfully!). Today, however, I woke up completely congested and feeling the worst I've felt all week. As most people do, I HATE being sick, especially now that I don't live at home—who's going to take care of me?!

Today was unseasonably warm—I loved it! But, according to weather.com and my daddy, there's supposed to be another winter storm or the like this week.

Finally, this morning, when I was in the bathroom putting my contacts in I noticed a growth of sorts on the bathroom wall. It was rather frightening, actually. It appeared as though there was a water bubble behind the paint, I even poked it and everything. disturbing. Anyway, the water pocket has dried up now, which is good, but the paint is peeling like craZy! Maintenance said they would repaint those areas. eventually. oh well.

Last note: my mother commented about this picture of me and my friend/neighbor Johnny.
She said that my hair looks nice pulled back. I'm always hesitant to pull my hair back when it's short just because it's short and is constantly falling out, so it was nice to hear a positive reaction! She also said I look older, and I think I look very young, so that's good to hear as well!

salve.

I'm so terribly sorry devoted readers (all 0 of you) that I've been absent for three weeks. But, I can do a quick recap of the last three weeks.

Came back to NY.
Worked and had to wear all black—which I did not appreciate.
Started classes.
Found out prof is taking attendance is 200 person lecture (where is the logic??)
Got to train people at work.
Did two months worth of laundry and discovered more clothes!
Bought lots of clothes.
and slept.

I know, sooo boring. In other news, my rooommate, Laura, is out of town this weekend meaning, the Linley will play. and by play, I actually mean turn on the holiday lights...I find joy in the simplest things (aka, I'm easily amused). don't judge.

Well, that's all for now. It is currently 2:36 am, and I must, must, must run errands before going to Uniqlo tomorrow. and eat, so I won't faint. Not that I ever have.

I'm still at Bobst.....

Can we please acknowledge the fact that the time is now 3:21am. I have been sitting here approximately nine hours....and I only have my qr cheat sheet to show for it. Clearly something's wrong with me!! If I were in my room, I would have been 12,309,845,258,758,294,785,894,828,547,457,480 times more productive AND in the comfort of my own room.

That means tomorrow, I have to finish my wte draft, fill in all six media studies worksheets AND go to work from 4pm-12am, which really means 1am or 2am.
I have issues.

Now I'm hungy. And I kinda have a headache. I wonder if it's cold outside. weather.com says it's 33, but feels like 27.

so many decisions....

this is me. studying.

At the moment, the majority of my NYU peers are stressing about exams. Like, getting 7 shots in their Starbucks beverage stressed/sleep deprived. I, however, am not one of them for several reasons. Allow me to enlighten you:

1. I tend to only get crazy about 12 hours in advance.
2. I am really easily distractible, and can only fully concentrate within those said 12 hours.
3. I COMPLETELY lucked out! I don't actually have final exams—and I'm not even in LSP!
and the list goes on, but I'm already bored.

So, my friend Lena tells me that I'll be 10,934,858,257 times more productive if I go to the lower level 2 of Bobst. Lena is wrong. See, I am quite easily distractible. In high school, when we had exams, where half the school was in the same room, I would get distracted by people once they started handing in their exams. I would literally watch every single person walk up and hand in their exam. Last time I checked, that's not conventionally a desirable trait. And LL2 is a huge room with, I don't know, 300-400 people. It's simply not an environment conducive to productivity. I've been here since 8pm (It is precisely 1:17am), and all I have to show is my qr cheat sheet. In my defense, it is beautifully color coordinated, because color helps me think.....but I digress.

NEWS ALERT: I just noticed that this Asian boy sitting near me, approximately at the 4:00 position if you will, whom I noticed earlier was drinking straight from a gallon of orange juice jug, is using the TINIEST laptop I've ever seen! It's smaller than his averagely sized head! I can't stop staring....but he just noticed, so I'll try not to stare any longer.
