Housing Works.

Today, I ventured into Queens to meet my friend Jessie at the Housing Works warehouse sale. Well, turned out the infamous $20 sale (you pay $20 for a brown paper bag, and then you stuff whatever you can into that bag) wasn't going on today....so we decided to go to the Chelsea location! We didn't find any clothes....but the furniture (for our future apartments) and bags were to DIE for. I'm talking Gucci, YSL, Prada, Chanel and much, much more! We each got three bags, and I also got this amazing bracelet-esque watch with what looks like a roman coin for the face. Overall, it was a rather successful trip and an amazing day with a new friend!
much needed black leather handbag
possibly fake YSL 'clutch' (methinks it's actually a makeup case)
BEST find of the day!!! can't wait to get the battery fixed so I can actually wear it!

Monday pet store adventures.

Since my only immediate hw that is due is reading, I decided to take advantage of the weather and read outside. I wanted to read somewhere new (aka, not Union or Washington Square park) and I eventually decided on Tompkins Square Park. As I was walking over there, my friend Brent asks me to go to the pet store with him! Naturally, I agreed, and we embarked on an adventure in Alphabet City!
We spent a good 45 minutes in the pet store shopping for Brent's fish, Tranny and his new fish Tigress Ferosh.
They finally caught the snake—apparently it was on the loose....

Brooklyn adventures.

Today was the first Sunday I've had off in a VERY long time. I was looking online, and all of a sudden, I saw these Cynthia Vincent gladiator sandals I had to have from Target. So, I spontaneously decided to venture to Brooklyn and go to Target to get said sandals!
The sandals were actually sold out....*tear*.....but I still had a great afternoon aimlessly wandering the aisles like I used to do at home!
The sky was unbelievably blue once I got off the subway—this picture is unedited! Even though I didn't get the sandals, I still had oodles of fun. Also, I ran into my New School friend Daniel near my dorm! I found out he's staying in the city this summer. yay!! I can't wait for all of our random, spontaneous adventures!

Ugly Betty

Tonight marks the series finale of one of my all time favorite shows: Ugly Betty. I've been the biggest fan since day one, and I can't believe that the inevitable series finale has finally come. For those who don't know, Ugly Betty is about Betty Suarez, a lovable, intelligent and passionate young woman from Jackson Heights trying to make it at a fashion magazine in Manhattan. In the beginning, Betty was a complete outsider, who's definition of fashion was....well, not exactly runway material. Flash forward four years, Betty is now a features editor at the magazine, she just accepted a position in London to start a new magazine with the biggest London publisher and she just got her braces off!! Ugly Betty has truly been a groundbreaking show for young women, but I could go on for days of my love for Betty.
I'll be watching tonight with my friends Charlie and Justine. Please watch!
