(final) Intern diaries: week nine

This was my last week interning full time! I'm quite sad that it's going to be much busier now that I'm only interning on Fridays. This week was generally quite exhausting. My main task this week was devoted to training our new interns—all four of them! I didn't realize that there's actually a lot to learn, but it comes so second nature to me I think nothing of it. I think they'll be fine though.
My favorite outfit this week was Wednesday's. Not only did I wear heels but I also mixed three prints! three! I think my yellow gingham, blue shibori print and metallic snake skin went well together! This was my first time wearing heels to work. Let's just say I regretted not bringing flats to wear home.

I finally met my roommate and suitemates earlier this week. After three years in housing, I think I finally lucked out in the roommate department! I have a really good feeling about this year!
Yesterday, I visited my friend Johnny at his new apartment near South Street Seaport. It's a little far for me, but he does have plenty of space, an elevator and a doorman! We decided to go plant shopping near FIT and got two plants. One of them, we discovered, had a little snail in the pot. We named him Emperor Mortimer, natch.

Last night, I went to the Big Gay Ice Cream Shop with Ray and Eunice! I got the choinkwich—chocolate cookies, chocolate ice cream and candied bacon. Pretty yummy, but I think vanilla ice cream might have been better. Next time, I think I want the cococone: vanilla cone rolled in toasted, curried coconut.
